AGF Investments Inc. today launched AGF Global Convertible Bond, investing in debt securities that can be converted to a specified number of shares in the issuing company at a set conversion price.

Convertible securities offer less exposure to interest-rate risk, while participating in equity-market returns, Kevin McCreadie, AGF's president and chief investment officer, noted in a news release.

The fund will be managed by David Stonehouse , a vice-president and portfolio manager with Acuity Investment Management Inc., an AGF Investments subsidiary. Stonehouse will be supported by the broader AGF fixed-income team.
